YA Scavenger Hunt (Fall): Team Red!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! I'm F.M. Boughan, your host for this stop along the hunt! The bi-annual YASH event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors... and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are seven contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the RED TEAM--but there is also BLUE, GREEN, GOLD , ORANGE, PINK, & PURPLE for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the red team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, October 7th, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

And now that we've got all of the technical details out of the way... onto the author I'm hosting on this leg of the hunt! Let's give a warm welcome to...

Austin Aslan!

About the Author
Austin Aslan's debut novel, The Islands at the End of the World, was named a Best Book of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews. It was ranked by The Guardian as a top-ten climate fiction read, and is listed by BookRiot as a top 100 must-read book in the category of young adult science fiction. His latest novel from HarperCollins, TURBO Racers: Trailblazer, will hit bookstores on December 31, 2018.

And I'm pleased to announce that YASH Fall 2018 gets to feature a blog-based full jacket cover reveal for TURBO Racers: Trailblazer, so... check it out below!

About the Book

"The roar of the crowd, the glow of the spotlight, the thrill of the race...twelve-year-old Mace Blazer dreams of going TURBO. TURBOnauts live for the g-force surge of trimorpher rocket engines as the chariots transform between roadsters, aircrafts, and torpedo-fast submarines, all while racing at full throttle. And Mace believes he's got what it takes to win--he only needs the chance to prove it.

So when a reclusive retired racer chooses Mace to try out to be part of the next generation of TURBOnauts, Mace knows that this is his moment to show what he can do. But the path to his big shot means facing down the best and the brightest from around the world. Mace will have to live fearlessly, hone his reflexes, and dare to be revolutionary.

But as he starts to win, Mace quickly realizes that some things come at a steep price. He’ll have to risk it all while he decides between what is right and what is easy. Every morph matters in this heart-pounding, exhilarating new adventure series by acclaimed author
Austin Aslan."

TURBO Racers: Trailblazer releases December 16th, 2018!

Sounds like a lot of fun, eh? I mean, the description of vehicles that morph during races gives me serious Mario Kart vibes, and I do love Mario Kart. That said, I'm sitting here with my Nintendo Switch and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, begging Nintendo to hurry up and give us Mario Kart ... please, Nintendo?! We're waiting!!! Thankfully, we won't have to wait nearly as long for the TURBO Racers series to begin, so... readers, start your engines! ...or something. You get it.

Get all the details and info at Austin Aslan's website, Twitter or Facebook page, get yourself a pre-order of TURBO Racers: Trailblazer right here, and don't forget to add it to your TBR on GoodReads
