YA Scavenger Hunt -- Fall 2017

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! I'm F.M. Boughan, your hostess for this stop along the hunt! The bi-annual YASH event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors... and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are eight contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the PURPLE TEAM--but there is also a red team, an orange team, a gold team, a green team, a teal team, a blue team, and a pink team for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the purple team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, October 8th, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

And now that we've got all of the technical details out of the way... onto the author I'm hosting on this leg of the hunt! Please give a warm welcome to...

 J.C. Welker!

About the Author

J.C. WELKER is a YA author who's been, among other things, a fashion designer, a filmmaker and a kickboxer (seriously). Her short documentaries, which focused on homeless Iraq veterans and lgbtq+ issues in the military have been featured on CURRENT TV, and her debut novel won first place in the paranormal category of the 2016 YARWA Rosemary Awards. She continues to work towards giving a voice to stories that are needed, while facing magic and monsters along the way.

About the Book

Winner of the 2016 YARWA Rosemary Awards for paranormal fiction that Mia Siegert (JERKBAIT) calls, "An exhilarating read.”

With a book in her bag and a switchblade in her pocket, Rebel's been thieving her way through life while hoping for a cure to fix her ailing heart.

But when the bejeweled vase she just tried to hawk turns out to be a jinni's vessel, Rebel gets lost to her world and dragged within another. Now every magical being in the city wants the vase for themselves.

Thrust into a game of cat and mouse in a world she never knew existed, Rebel must use her uncanny skills to find a way to free Anjeline the Wishmaker.

But wishes have consequences. And contracts. Anjeline's freedom could unravel a love like Rebel has never known, or it could come at the cost of Rebel's heart...

Find out more information by checking out J.C. Welker's website, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook page, and find more about the author's book here: Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Kobo, and don't forget to add it to your TBR on GoodReads

Now, if I (Faith) was able to wish for something, know what I'd ask for? I'd ask what the Ultimate Question is... you know, the question about life, the universe and everything, since (according to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) the answer is...

...but that's neither here nor there. Nor do I imagine I'll be getting any wishes anytime soon. That said, it's okay, because I (and, uh... everyone else reading this post) gets to enjoy this Exclusive Content from J.C. Welker instead! Woo-hoo!
